In honor of many collectivist cultural practices, I introduce myself to you:
Heidi Griswold, Mother of two grown daughters, buddy to Daisy dog, daughter of Monika & Edward. My ancestors are of Germanic, English, Scandinavian, French, Italian, Polish and Irish descent. I was blessed to grow up influenced by several cultures and speak English and German.
I am passionately committed to the journey of becoming a real human and helping others to do the same. My greatest learnings have come from Nature Herself and my own life experiences.
I began my meditation and the inner journey of what it is “to be” human at the age of seventeen. My early years I studied and coached people in health, fitness, meditation and herbs. Which led me to study East Indian traditions of Ayurveda, Karma, Jyotish, Yoga, Tantra and Myth. I immersed myself in the study of Earth/Life honoring ways. Studying with Martin Prechtel who introduced me to the idea of being a “real human”. I learned to fully engage in life, relationships and emotions and the sweetness of fully living.
I studied Plant Spirit Medicine with Eliot Cowan and eventually began and completed a seven year pilgrimage path in which he was the attending shaman.
Navigating marriage, birthing and raising children were all profound teachers.
In my early 40’s I had an accident that turned my attention to my own health and how to accept and engage with becoming physically and cognitively disabled.
I became interested in how to live in good exchange with Land and Place. This led me to live in an intentional community rooted in cyclical land honoring ritual and ceremony for 10 years.
I learned while studying Eastern traditions the impact of ancestors in our current lives. More recently this led me to study with Daniel Foor and Shannon Willis.
I counsel and guide healing through Ancestral Lineage Tending, Karma Yoga, Bhutavidya, Plant Spirit Healing, Pranayama, Meditation, Auric/Kosha health, Ayurveda and the Mythic Body.
I give acknowledgement and gratitude to all my teachers, and to my greatest teacher, Nature Herself in all Her expressions.
